Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question? It may be one that we hear quite frequently, in which case you can find it listed below. If not, for more specific questions or to chat about anything else, please feel free to contact us.
FireArrest is designed to document fire stopping projects, to allow the quick and easy transfer of risk assessment documentation from surveyors to fire stopping teams, and to allow item-specific costing and comprehensive evidence of works completed. By automating safety processes like risk assessments, you’ll be able to get more work done.
With Lite, your surveying team can use FireArrest to export method statements and risk assessments. Also, small enterprises can get access to all the features at a discounted price, with drawing uploads paid per item. Meanwhile, with Pro, fire stopping teams can get access to a larger amount of storage and unlimited project drawing uploads as part of the package.
Depending on your subscription, you’ll receive either 10GB or 100GB of storage, which is yours to use as you see fit. If you decide to cancel your subscription but you need to keep hold of your records – don’t worry. In order to uphold Government compliance, your documents will be available for you to “read-only” regardless and we will be able to assist you in downloading them from your database subject to your request.
If you are using an Android/iOS smart phone or tablet, although we recommend you use a tablet, FireArrest will work on your device. Please refer to our FireArrest Hardware Requirements Guide
to see the minimum requirements needed to run FireArrest on these platforms.
You can download FireArrest from here:
While FireArrest functions equally well via Wi-Fi or 4G, if you’re working in a signal-free area, we also have you covered. The FireArrest application for Android and iOS will store your data in offline mode, until the point where the tablet is able to reconnect to the internet. At that time, the information will automatically sync back up to the main database.
FireArrest allows you to cost your jobs per item used – this will assist you in calculating stock and labour costs on similar projects in the future. With detailed project reporting and customisable fields, you can use FireArrest to track and report on the data that’s important to you.
We understand that due to the nature of the business you are likely to revisit a site at a later date. Any projects completed on FireArrest can be archived and re-enabled later so you can see what was previously done and where. By re-enabling a project the system creates a copy of the original project which can then be added to with any new work being done. The end result is a comprehensive report and uneditable audit trail of all work undertaken at that site.

Yes and no ….. you will have full access to the FireArrest software, but this will be limited to one administrator and two users.
FireArrest has been designed to be as user friendly as possible.
However, we do offer an online training session with our FireArrest experts that lasts approximately 30 minutes. We strongly recommend that this is booked in before starting your trial in order to help you get the most out of it.
You trial begins when a member of the FireArrest team has set up the trial. From this point you have full access to begin using the software. You will receive an email from the FireArrest system with your log in details to get started.
If your trial expires, you cannot extend the trial period. For short-term needs, you can purchase a monthly subscription. Our minimum subscription period is 6 months.
Contact your FireArrest team and we will do the rest.
When logged in to the FireArrest dashboard our handy help button enables you to open a support ticket where our support team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Alternatively, we have downloadable support guides available on our website.
If you would like something added that is not currently part of the FireArrest software or any bespoke work, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
